Brussels, the bustling capital city of Belgium, is also known as the beating heart of Europe. It’s where you’ll find the European Commission and the European Parliament! Despite its European dimension, a population including 183 different nationalities, the 108 different spoken languages and the 3 official languages, this metropolis still has a village feel to it, with something for everyone.
Brussels is full of impressive historic buildings and tourist attractions, such as the Royal Saint-Hubert Galleries, the Town Hall, the Brussels Stock Exchange, the Royal Palace and of course, Manneken Pis, to name but a few. The Grand Place, a pearl of architecture and extremely important centre of influence, has been on the UNESCO World Heritage list since 1998. It is recognised as one of the most beautiful city squares in the world. It is also an exceptional and successful example of the way eclectic architectural and artistic styles from Western culture can be mixed.
During this tour, you’ll be able to taste culinary specialties, such as a local beer in a typical Brussels ‘brown cafe’, a Brussels waffle and of course, Belgian chocolate! This cultural and gastronomic excursion through Brussels takes about three hours.
